DCBS Worker Introduction
Information on this website is consistent with Cabinet for Health and Family Service DCBS/DPP Standard
Operating Procedures (SOP). Reference is made to relevant SOPs where appropriate. The reader is encouraged
to also refer to the on-line manuals
for these SOPs. This web site is organized by CRP function, and that which uniquely applies to DCBS workers
is identified as such.
The Assessment section describes the steps necessary to obtain Initial Levels of Care
(LOC), LOC Reassignments,
LOC Redeterminations,
LOC Emergency Requests,
and Utilization Reviews. Also included are
information on the monthly CRP-DCBS communication tools,
Monthly Census Report & Foster Care Child Link Report,
and the objective behavior inventories (CBCL and
Reiss).
The Placement section will tell you how to
ease your workload by having the Regional Placement Coordinators assist you in locating the best placement
for children on your caseload who need out-of-home placements.
The PCC Comparative Reports
provide program descriptions and outcomes data that help you compare the relative merits of programs you may
be considering as possible placements. These are updated every three months.
CRP offers Technical Assistance that can
help you help a child.
