Minimum requirements to qualify as a therapeutic foster parent are:

Have a genuine interest and desire to be a positive influence on a child

Complete process of in home interviews and applications
-
Pass all background checks
-
Provide sufficient income for the family
-
Complete training requirements
-
Provide adequate space for a foster child/children

Provide a safe home with smoke detectors, fire extinguisher, first aid kit and medication lock box.

Possess valid driver’s license, automobile, and insurance
