Welcome to the Bluegrass Academy. We are the training department at Bluegrass!

Bluegrass Academy offers a range of classes and learning opportunities for behavioral health professionals. From continuing education courses that meet state licensing board requirements to state approved curriculums for targeted case managers, community support associates and peer support specialists, we offer options to fit your needs and schedule. Community Support Associate Training

Thursday, May 2, 2019, 1351 Newtown Pike, Lexington, KY, Building 3, Newtown Room

This 10-hour training satisfies the curriculum requirements for Community Support Associate certification by the Kentucky Department for Behavioral Health, covering principles of recovery, promoting resilience, psychiatric rehabilitation, and effective communication. Provides an overview of mental health and co-occurring diagnoses, as well as appropriate crisis intervention skills.

Cost $100/day

Thursday, May 2nd - Friday, May 3rd

Adult Peer Support Specialist Training

Monday, May 13, 2019, 1351 Newtown Pike, Lexington, KY, Building 3, Newtown Room

MAY 2019 Peer Training is now full/closed for applicants. If you are still interested in peer training, you may still submit an application and payment to register for the next training scheduled for August 19th - 23rd using the same application. Cost for August 2019 registration is $125.

May 13th - 17th, 2019

9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. daily

Bluegrass is approved by the Kentucky Department of Behavioral Health to present this 30-hour program offering the curriculum required to become a certified Adult Peer Support Specialist in Kentucky. Trainings are open to anyone in recovery from a mental health, substance use or co-occurring disorder interested in working as a PSS. Seating is limited and we do not keep a waitlist.
